End of the Spear

I have to say that this has got to be one of the best movies I have seen in a long time!!! It was good as a movie as well as knowing that it was true. I saw it Sunday and the coolest part of the day was going to Jefferson Baptist Church to see the Steve Saint and Mincayani (the man who in 1956 killed Steve's dad). It was truly amazing. Check out the links below for more info.

2nd Job

I always hear about people having two jobs to make ends meet, I just never saw myself with two jobs. Maybe I am getting ahead of myself. I should back up. I was in class this morning when Dr. Bryce Bernard said that he had a former graduate that needed help at his CPA firm for tax season. I decided to get the phone number and see what happens. I got a call back this afternoon. He wants to "talk to me in person". I would call it an interview but I am merely quoting him. Anyway I am going this Thursday afternoon. We'll see where this leads. It is a little out of the way, but it pays more than the Manor (Capital Manor where I currently wait tables). So, my opening statement about me having to jobs may be a little premature. But I still am having a hard time realizing that I am even looking into the idea.

10 Years To The Day

I was thinking while in a conversation today just how long ago my family moved to Camp Tadmor. When my brain proceeses finished I relalized that it was exactly ten years ago that my family moved. January 15, 1996. It was that day that I would have to say has set the direction of where I want my life to go. I find it amazing how God can work in ways we, at the time, have no idea what He is doing. This is just what I have been thinking about today.

An 8 Hour Day

It was an 8 hour day at work. That in itself is hard enough, but then there is a man. He works part of the time and I find his comments and his personality to be annoying. I try to be as nice as I can, but there are times I wish I could work on the other side of the building. I am sure this is a learning opportunity. I am just not getting any better at accepting him right now. Oh well, I will try to keep an open mind.

Syllabus Shock Vaccine

I really think that someone should come up with a vaccine to prevent syllabus shock. I have made it through the begining of the sememster this year without having the shock I got in the past. Hurrah! Beyond me, however, is a huge market for a vaccine of this kind. My brain hurts too much currently to begin designing such a vaccine. So for now, it can be someone else's prize invention.

Enchiladas Made!!!

I have made enchiladas! I was using two different recipes one from a book, the other from the enchiladas sauce can. It worked okay. I think I can do better next time. But they did taste good. I had one for lunch and the other four will be frozen for a later delightful dinner. It did taste good, I was satisfied. I even got Anna to try a bite (even with onions). She, too, said that it was good. I am a happy camper now.

Enchiladas Don't Make Themselves

So I am siting in my room and thinking about the fact that enchiladas sound really good right now. I have been thinking about making enchiladas for a couple of days now, but have not made the time for it, thus the title. Now, that I have been thinking about food I am getting kind of hungery. :-)

4 Seasons

No, I am not talking about the four seasons of the year, rather the four seasons of the West Wing I just completed tonight at 10:40pm. I have to say that the cliff hanger at the end of season four hit me the most (on an emotional level) . I think that it has something to do with the fact that the major story is that there was a kidnapping and, in my opinion, that is a scary situation for which I would not know how to act. Having said that I am so ready to watch season five. BUT there is school starting and the small detail I can't forget - I don't have the fifth season.

One Busy Day

It was busier than most lately. I went to church this morning which was a great feeling; to be able to go in the morning instead of the evening, at a church that was way to large for my taste. All thanks to a boss who is kind enough to work with me on my schedule. After church was lunch then a wedding show. Why a wedding show? Well, for the random people outside my family who read this I am getting married in May 2006 to one beautiful young woman. Really the only rationalization for a guy to go to one of these things is the tux people, of which I found one that I like. A small bonus was that it was in the same building as the train shows. We then went to Craft Warehouse. As I write this I feel I must defend my manhood. So I just want to say that I went for a reason; there were frames on clearance and I need one for a picture of Anna (that beautiful young woman) and myself. I hit the bonuses today because while at Craft Warehouse I found a puzzle on sale. It is titled The Reading Shops and yes it is a picture of a train. At this point I have a few West Wing episodes to watch before turning in for the night.

The First

Well, this is the first. I really don't know why I created this. I hope that it is a valuable tool but that could be a little hopeful of me, no one, including myself, has any idea were this will go. This is really a short intro post.
